The Silymarin in milk thistle is what makes it so special. Silymarin is an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory. It is wonderful for recovering from liver damage caused by toxins such as alcohol, acetaminophen or toluene or other drugs. In addition, milk thistle has:

1 tsp of Milk Thistle Tea
2 cups water
2 small pieces of Rock Sugar (Misri)
Juice of lemon/lime or 1/2 teaspoon of crushed dried lime.
Bring water to a boil in a kettle.
Take 1 tsp of Milk Thistle Tea and place it in a teapot.
Pour in the hot water cover and steep for 15 minutes.
Strain the tea and serve hot with rock candy, honey or lemon juice depending on your taste.
