Is it necessary to use henna and indigo mix ? can I use only indigo?

No. Indigo Powder does not work efficiently without henna. if you will apply it without henna. It gives grey-blue shade.

How much indigo hair dye I need to apply in quantity?

The indigo powder color is permanent. but for first-time users there may be an adjustment period with this natural hair dye method depending on how much your hair was already exposed to artificial treatments. If you have excessive damage hair you might get satisfactory results after two to three attempts. so this called adjustment period. once your color is settled you will only need to do root touch-ups depending on how soon your roots get white hair visibility.

Indigo powder is a fermented plant having a natural spore in it. Some people can be allergic to this spore. it’s rare but it is possible.

How often will I be needing to do this organic hair color?

depends on the individual’s new hair growth from roots. Approx every after two to 4 weeks later procedure will be needed on roots. how often you do it will never harm.

Can this natural hair dye make my hair into lighter tones?

Please note this zero chemical method can only make white or light tones darker but it won’t make your dark hair towards lighter tones.

How to use indigo powder?

There are two methods of using it . 1 called the two-step method It is mostly for black hair color.

When you intend to color your hair, soak henna paste 8-12 hours before application. In this method you apply henna on the first step, wash it and then you apply indigo on 2nd step two hours for black color or for 20 minutes for brown shade.

There is another method that is called a one-step method where you mix henna and indigo paste together to get brown shade.

Which method is more effective for the henna and indigo hair dye method?

I personally do the two-step method and always have seen people getting more happier results with this method. specially we recommend a two-step method if your true shade is dark.

Can I premix henna and indigo Ratio and soak it overnight.?

NO.

You can not pre-mix henna and indigo powder to achieve shades of brown to black. If in the market someone selling a product that is having henna and indigo powder pre-mix then it must be chemical. Henna and indigo having different dye releases nature. Pure Henna releases its dye within 12 hours. whereas indigo demises it s dye within two hours. so the procedure of making indigo and applying it should be done 2 hours. that’s why it is always recommended to ready henna paste first and then add indigo right before you are ready to apply. you will be more guided in our manual.

(Indigo powder itself does not work effectively on grey hair, it has to be applied either by mixing with pure henna called a one-step method or after applying pure henna called 2 step method.
