In Unani medical terminology it is also called Roghan Baid Injeer. It is the only oil, the chemical constituents of which form hydroxyl group, a compound consisting of one atom of oxygen and one of hydrogen.

Dosage:
Adults: 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls with a cup of hot milk. Children up to 12 years of age should be given half of the dose or as directed by the physician.
